Earthlight heading for Siskin clash in Middle Park

Earthlight may be on track this month to run at a star-studded Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.
Trainer Andre Fabre had been aiming the Prix Morny winner at the Darley Dewhurst Stakes – but using the catastrophic National Stakes winner Pinatubo of Charlie Appleby very likely to represent owners Godolphin in that, Earthlight’s target is set to change.
As Richard Hannon’s flying machine, a clash with the likes of Ger Lyon’s unbeaten Siskin along with a result Mums Tipple is on the cards on September 28.
“Obviously, given that Pinatubo is now very likely to go to the Dewhurst, we’ve needed a rethink about Earthlight,” said Fabre.
“I’m awaiting for Sheikh Mohammed’s conclusion, but I’d have thought he’d go to the Middle Park now.
“He’s won a Group One over six furlongs at the Prix Morny, thus we will not be asking him to do anything different.
“The Middle Park does seem quite a good race this season, but there is no such thing as an easy Group One.”
